Yes, it's true! You can train for any size of crack indoors and Atomik Climbing Holds has created it!
See the video of only one section of the crack in action on a customers home wall.
See a Utah Crack Climbing video of the designer of this crack, Andy Knight.
This is a massive 3 foot long monster of a crack. Even with it being hollow backed, each side averages 27 pounds. Yes, it's that big! Check out the photo of our very own, Justin N. on it. It's about to eat him!
You can adjust the width of the crack to exactly the size you want by simply installing one side and then the other to the width you want. Finger crack, hand jam, fist jam, it's up to you!
Want to climb a 20 foot section of crack? Simply add sections. Each section measures 35 inches long.
Each crack section has a left and right side. We also sell End Caps to give it a nice finished look.
The crack is deep at just over 7 inches. Grab a ruler and you'll realize just how deep your hand will go. This depth offers you the ability to jam straight into the crack very similar to climbing outdoors.
Each section measures 35" long x 7" deep x 7.5" wide.
The end caps measure 11" long x 7" deep x 7.5" wide.
Going Big: To build a 30 foot crack, order 10 sets plus 1 set of end caps. The first section will be at the ground and then the top will use a set of end caps.
Hardware Note: The screws that we sell for this product are not available at your local Lowes or Home Depot. At 5" and 6" long, they are special ordered. The drill bits are for concrete and are also not commonly found due to their length.
