Choose this anchor for solid concrete

This anchor has it's limitations but the price does attract some builders. This method can be chosen if you are willing to measure how much bolt thread sticks out the back of your hold, how much space there is in the anchor to accept that thread and then drill the appropriate length of hole into solid concrete. Yes, there is math involved for every hole you drill. Though one set of holds will have the same bolt depths, another set will differ. This anchor should be chosen only if you are installing one small set of 10 to 15 holds. If you are installing more than this, choose the hollow set anchors.

Anchor Tools

Though the anchors can be creatively installed using a nail punch ( drop in anchors ) or a hold and a bolt ( hollow set anchors ), we recommend that you purchase a set tool for your anchors for proper installation.

For the drop in anchors, should you choose to not purchase the punch and use your own tools around the house, pay special attention to not damaging the threads on the anchor.

For the hollow set anchors, should you choose not to purchase a set tool and decide to wing the installation without it, pay special attention to where the anchor ends up once "seated".  The anchor should not be flush with the surface of the wall. It should be a minimum of 1/8 of an inch or deeper into the wall. An anchor that is seated flush may position the hold against the anchor increasing the risk of the hold spinning.
