Overview
These patina rock climbing holds include semi-positive pinches, dishes, jugs, and edges. A lot is going on since the designs are multi-directional.
The detailed design of these textured rock climbing holds forces you to set up on the hold rather than just slapping your hand on them. The texture you grip is hundreds of 1/4" to 1/2" deep dimples, which delivers a rock-like look and feel.
In terms of footwork, the patina design has a smooth dual-texture surface that you can't just slap your foot on. Accurate foot placement and pressure are required to keep your shoe from skating off.
At the easiest, they will yield a V5 boulder problem when set reasonably close together on a 45-degree overhanging wall.
On a vertical wall, this set will feel in the V1 range.
- SIZE: Smallest hold measures 3-7/8" wide x 2-7/8" tall x 1-3/4" off the wall.
- SIZE: Largest hold measures 5-3/4" wide x 3-1/4" tall x 2-1/4" off the wall.
- V1 on vertical walls.
- V3 on 25-degree walls.
- V5 on 45-degree walls.
- 20 to 35-degree incuts make them challenging on angles steeper than 45 degrees.
