Set #2 in the three-pack steep wall series is more challenging to grip than set #1. Though the holds look like they have 1" deep places to grasp, that quickly goes away when set in steep overhanging terrain.
On vertical walls, you can expect a challenging V1 feeling grip. You can consider them a challenging hold for a child. We do not recommend this set for kids on vertical unless you are looking for a hold that will slow them down.
The difficulty of this set quickly jumps to V4/5 on a 25-degree wall and V6/7+ on a 45-degree wall. You can get a lot harder moves out of this set because the incut is right at the lip of the hold.
In really steep terrain, the lip is in the 1/2" to 1/4" deep range.
