The main difference between Set #2 and Set #1 is that Set #2 is lower profiled and less wide. The bottom line is that there is less edge to grab.
This style of climbing hold gives you a taste of what it feels like to be climbing outside. The grips mimic the ridges and angles found on natural granite rock. This design style prepares you for outdoor climbing or in that they offer you a realistic experience inside.
Set #2 has crimps on multiple edges of the holds. Four of the holds offer this. These additional locations provide you with more variety in route setting options. The various areas also allow you to turn several of these grips into shallow pinches and crimps with thumb catches.
These are advanced level climbing holds as they stand off the wall 1/2" to 7/8".
You can expect V2+ feeling crimps on a vertical wall, V4/5 on a 25-degree wall, and V6/9 on a 45-degree wall.
