The details below show what each hold will do for you and how much "landing area" you will get. "Landing area" is the amount of space on the foothold.

Difficulty for the advanced climber

The advanced climber (V6+) will want the Small Low Angle Model on terrain 25 degrees overhanging and steeper. This hold size offers a dime-size landing area to feel with the big toe area of your climbing shoe.

Difficulty for the intermediate climber

The intermediate climber (V4 to V7) will want the Medium Sloping Angle Model on 25-degree overhanging terrain, while they may consider the Medium Incut Model in steeper terrain. This hold size offers a nickel-size landing area for your shoe where you can get a little bit more of your shoe on the hold.

Difficulty for the beginner climber

The beginner climber (V3-) is all about the large. This hold size offers a quarter-size landing area, which gives the climber a lot of real estate to stand on and distinctly changes the difficulty of a circuit.
