The holds in 5 Golfus Pockets Set #1 are amazing! They are comfortable, deep, roomy, fun, and stylish.
They work for beginners in semi-steep terrain and experts all over the walls.
For the beginner climber, expect two to three finger pads of depth into the hold. About 1-3/4" to 2" deep. That's very deep for a pocket. One might even say these are jugs, and we would agree with you. The incut of the pockets are in the area of 45-degrees, so on walls less than 45-degrees overhanging, you will be getting an incut pocket.
A surprise in a good way is that there are smaller holds designed near the bolt hole. So the Expert might take a look at these "Flip Side Pockets." They are 3/4" to 1" deep, which is a full finger pad, and the incut of the pockets range from slopey to incut. You are in the V5 range on a 45-degree overhanging wall.
The Spinner Screw is a nice design touch as well. Since the climbing hold won't spin, it is an excellent choice for outdoor and playground climbing walls.
These holds are V0 on vertical and V2 on a 45-degree wall.
