The Loaf Pinches are shaped to have a "bread loaf-like" profile. The sides of the holds run parallel to each other, forcing the climber to pinch. The contour around the sides has a bulge creating incuts to make the pinching action comfortable and more accessible when set on steeper walls.
Set #2 has subtle neutral to 1/4" deep incuts, which means you can either pinch these or you can't. The widths have a great range into the 3-1/2" size, which is the gold-standard width for most adults. 3-1/2" does feel wide for women and youth-sized hands.
You'll also find with this set that each side of the pinches differs from the other. One side is more positive than the other. Versatility is the name of the game here.
You can expect Set #1 to feel in the V2 range on vertical walls, V3 on 25-degree walls, and V6+ on 45-degree walls.
Set #1 is the most positive, and Set #3 is the least positive.

Hard System Style Pinches for Boosting Grip
My board is 50º overhanging, and as someone who finds themselves crimping a little too much(?) I wanted to train my power, and pinch strength more effectively on the wall. Often though pinches are shaped and finished too comfortably, or more "shaped for the human hand." The rock outside isn't. Grips, and widths vary, and you have to be prepared to push your pinch strength. With that said these holds are ergonomic, and very good for setting pinch-only boulders, or getting in a session that is focusing on tackling pinching. The texture helps save the skin, so you can train even longer. Set #2 is varied with narrow, and wides. Depending on the feet used from jibs to bigger feet you get anywhere between v4-v8 at 50º!
