The Mummy is a spooky sloper challenge that keeps climbers guessing. Tough on vertical walls but a fun, controllable feature on slabs for developing technique and balance.

Overview

The Mummy Climbing Hold is one of the more challenging shapes in the 5 Pack Halloween Set. Designed primarily as a sloper, it presents a difficult grip even on vertical walls, encouraging young climbers to focus on body position, balance, and precise pressure rather than relying on strong handholds.

While it is one of the hardest holds in the set, it offers slightly more control than the Skull, making it a marginally more approachable option for pinch-based movement depending on orientation. On slab terrain, however, The Mummy becomes a great training hold, allowing climbers to develop technique in a more controlled environment.

Its combination of sloper head and ledge-like chin gives route setters flexibility to create varied and engaging climbing problems within a spooky, themed setting.

Features

  • Difficult sloper-style head
  • Ledge-like chin for limited additional support
  • Slightly easier than Skull in the set
  • Best suited for slab climbing and technique development
